Consistent with
these results, Robinson (2002) found that in three different hybrids,
once flowering was initiated, the rate of inflorescence development
increased linearly with the average daily temperature (from
14 to 26 ◦C), while the time for the anthesis decreased. Previous
findings have shown a positive effect of increasing temperatures
in the range 20–29 ◦C on leaf growth in two modern hybrids of
Phalaenopsis (Newton and Runkle, 2009).
