Most computers have a microphone input that
is AC coupled to the sound card. To obtain a
signal that is similar to what an oscilloscope
would display it is necessary to integrate the
signal with respect to time before displaying
it (this is what the program does by default).
However, we encountered one computer that
behaved differently: it produced signals that
were markedly different from those shown in
figure 8. If this happens, toggle the connection
configuration switch from A (the default) to B.
This should correct the problem.
