To reciprocate his endless sacrifice, and to celebrate the Auspicious Occasion of
His Majesty the King’s Seven Cycle Birthday which will fall on the 5th of December 2011,
all civil servants should seriously adopt His Majesty’s working principles in their work life
so as to further generate good governance and the well being to the country as they
always say “civil servants are those who work for the King”, and who
* possess qualities of honesty, justice, sacrifice, patience and discipline;
* are knowledgeable, adaptable, cooperatives;
* are responsible, punctual, work-directed and results-oriented, and
* work for the benefit of the country, with and for righteousness.
The Civil Servant Pledge
The Pledge is intended to awake the consciousness of ourself and to discriminate
the goodness from the badness. The accumulation of good deeds can be used as a barrier to evils
and can nurture future merit undertakings.
“I hereby pledge……
to follow in the footsteps of His Majesty the King as my inspiration in striving
to be a good civil servant;
to work to the best of my ability and knowledge to solve problems of the
nation and the people; and
to enhance the national benefit through adherence to righteousness at all time.”
