The present paper reports on a set of experiments conducted to measure the airflow and temperature profiles in a test rig designed to simulate the essential features of a Trombe Wall or solar chimney. The results are presented in dimensionless form, based on parameters which are either known or controllable. The results are compared with those of the previous
investigation reported by La Pica et al. [31]. The aim is to present data which can be used to characterise the airflow and
temperature within large-scale thermosyphoning systems, such as TrombeWalls and solar chimneys, on a similar basis to those which have been collected for small-scale applications.
