There are 2 types of guarantee:
Guarantee by a person: this is when a third person binds himself
to a creditor when the debtor fails to perform the obligation. This third person called “a Surety or a Guarantor” (ผู้ค้ำประกัน)
Guarantee by a property: this is when the creditor has the
right to call for the debt from the property of either a debtor
or a third person. This can be called “Mortgage” (จำนอง) and “Pledge” (จำนำ)
