‘Marketing’ the nursing profession
According to the American Marketing Association (AMA 2013),
‘marketing is the activity, set of institutions, and processes for
creating, communicating, delivering, and exchanging offerings
that have value for customers, clients, partners, and society at
large’. Despite the power of marketing and its potential positive
impact on promoting the public image and public relations of
nursing, this issue is still not fully recognized and supported
within the profession.
