ANOTHER GREAT ESCAPE !
WINCHESTER, UK : 13 MARCH 2002
A truck was transporting 6,000 chickens to be slaughtered when it crashed. Two thousand chickens died in the crash. Workers and police officers caught all the other chickens except one. One bird, now called lucky, escaped and hid in the undergrowth at the side of the road.
Then Lucky got lucky again. She lived in the countryside for eight days without being caught by a fox or other predators. And then, luckily, she was found by two people who belonged to an Animal Rights group. Lucky found a good home with one of the members of the group.
