Japan is the major manufacturers of cars, such as Toyota and Honda. But Japanese often travel with walking and mass-transit, including Tokyo.
Traveling in Tokyo is comfortable and has a wide range of channels, such as sky trains, subways, buses and ships. Most people travel by mass-transit rail systems that comprising a loop line around the city centre and radial lines into the central stations and the subway system. Tokyo's subway network is operated by two companies, the Toei Subways with four lines, and Tokyo Metro (formerly known as Eidan Subways) with nine lines. Together, they densely cover central Tokyo, especially the area inside the Yamanote circle and the areas around Ginza and Shitamachi. Moreover, Tokyo’s sky train network is operated by many companies, such as JR, Seibu and Odakyu.
