Researching the PC2 Term Project
Now that you have been given an ASEAN country to research you need to find a news story for your term project. You have to to find a source for the story that MUST be in English, you can not use Thai websites.
A good place to begin is to have a look at the website for an English language newspaper from your ASEAN country. Below are links for each country.

You must research the ASEAN country further by looking at other websites. Sometimes because of censorship a news story is only reported outside of the country it happens in.

Once you find the story that you want to make your report about you must find three different sources covering the story. So you have to provide three different links reporting on your chosen news story.

Citing sources
When a reporter writes a story they must check the facts and give the names of individuals and organisations that are the source/origin of the information. Have a look at this story and below write down what the source was for the following quotes or information.

As you will not be talking to people involved in the news story that your term project covers you MUST cite your sources. so when you are describing the news story you must say where you found the information. For instance you can do this by saying
“according to the Bangkok Post….” or “the Bangkok Post reported….”
If you are quoting someone you normally would include the persons name and their job title followed by a verb said,stated,wrote etc. For instance..
“United States President, Barack Obama said……”
You must reference your sources clearly for your term project to pass.
