Statistical analysis
Student’s t-test and Mann-Whitney U test
were used for continuous variables. Chi-square test
and Fisher’s exact test were used for categorical
variables. Multivariate regression analysis was used
to evaluate the association between preeclampsia
and the various risk factors. The risk factors that
produced a point estimate at a p-value of < 0.1 on the
univariate analysis were entered into a multivariate
regression analysis. Adjusted odds ratio (ORs) with
95% confidence interval (CI) was calculated. A p-value
< 0.05 was considered statistically significant.
