3. Results and discussions
3.1. Surface characterizations of scaffolds
Porosity is an important characteristic for biomaterials becauseit supports the cells colonization, the deposit of organic matterand the transport of drugs or molecules for therapeutic uses. Itwas evaluated by Brunauer–Emmet–Teller (BET) method usingMicromeritics ASAP 2010 analyzer.
According to the InternationalUnion of Pure and Applied Chemistry (IUPAC) classification, theobtained isotherms (Fig. 4) belong to type H3. The curves of adsorp-tion and desorption form a hysteresis loop.
