HONEY TOAST:
[ a loaf of bread or 3-4 slices of bread, stacked on top of each other + 1 tablespoon unsalted butter, melted + 1-2 tablespoon granulated sugar + a pinch of cinnamon + vanilla ice cream + honey ]
You can use any bread that you like. If you like it decadent, then by all means get the brioche loaf out. I’m using plain white bread for this.
Preheat the oven to 300 degree F.
Slice a 2-3 inch thick loaf of bread or stack 3-4 slices of bread on a cutting board. Cut the inner bread along the crust. Essentially we’re going to hollow out the center and turn it into a cube bread bowl.
Cut the hollowed out bread into tiny cubes, butter with unsalted butter and sprinkle with granulated sugar and a pinch of cinnamon.

Brush the bread bowl with some melted butter and also sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon. Bake at 300F for 7-10 minutes until golden brown.

Return the cut up bread pieces into the bread bowl.
If you can’t say that that’s the most anti-climatic dessert you’ve ever seen, you’d pretty much be lying. It doesn’t look like much now, I’ll admit. Even my sister was moaning about how there’s so much work for such a simple outcome.
But you just wait, the best part is coming. The honey.
Drizzle it all over.

And drizzle it all over good.
Now grab some of your best vanilla ice cream and dollop on a generous scoop (or two!) on top of the bread.

And then drizzle some more honey on top.
And a sprinkling of cinnamon to finish it off.
