The Portuguese government has abandoned its plans to privatize CP Carga, the freight division of the state rail operator CP, reported Publico. The paper cited a government document that included details of the firms being prepared for privatization. CP Carga, originally slated for privatization in 2012 as part of Lisbon's EUR 78bn bailout from the IMF and EU, is not on the list of the state firms to be sold, the report added.
