Principal Responsibilities and Duties:
The position will be responsible for supporting Sheet metal PCF activities for programs within the Asia Pacific Region based in Thailand. The role will assist and liase with Supplier Technical Assistance Engineers (STA) to guide and improve sheet metal stamping and assembly suppliers.
This position will ensure that the stamped parts from in-house and external suppliers all match to deliver a dimensional outcome acceptable for a new model program.
•Review supplier’s tooling process, timing, and compatibility with PCF.
•Follow up with supplier’s key tooling development and provide guidance to improvements.
•Instate rigorous Tooling quality loop, Ok-to-Ship, and DCIS implementation process (Dimensional Change Instruction Sheet and Defect Correction Instruction Sheet)
•Assist suppliers to achieve quality Body Structure Subsystem and Part Submission Warrant process.
•Understand the incoming part quality and its relationship to the global goals and objectives for PCF events.
•Coordinating the events to ensure they occur on time and to the correct methodology.
•Work with the PCF sources to ensure the error found are correctly processed to allow modification prior to the next build.
•Work with lead PCF team /events in China to provide interface to STA and Supplier Base.
•Ensure timing of activities to support PCF activities is tracked and driven to meet program timing.
Required Qualifications and Competencies :-
•Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
•3 - 5 years working experience in running PCF event would be a significant advantage.
•Experience in Body PCF program Engineering including Review supplier’s tooling process, timing, and compatibility with PCF.
•Experience in Follow up with supplier’s key tooling development and provide Body launch systems.
•Good command of English and computer literate.
•Knowledge of Body and or Stamping manufacturing processes
•Good team player, solid technical background, ability to learn and adapt with positive attitude.
