Anolyte pH is another critical factor that affects the performance
of MFC (Sobhani et al., 2015). As shown in Fig. 2, anolyte
pH decreased as the cathodic inoculum ration of C. vulgaris
increased from 0 to 250 mg L1. We speculated that oxygen produced
by C. vulgaris in cathodic chamber was benefit for electricity
generation of MFC and the growth of bacteria inoculated in anodic chamber.
