Can we infer from the homologies any function or subclassification for SUVi and BACH1 helicases? While the human genome contains over 100 helicase genes and isoforms, the most conserved domain of SUVi/BACH1 matches that of human RecQ helicase subfamily including the homologues of the gene mutated in BS (BLM) (Fig. 2, bottom).
Detailed inspection of that homology, argues that the position of the NLS is different for BLM and SUVi/BACH1.
