Energy embodied in machinery was calculated by using eco- nomic input–output life cycle assessment (EIOLCA) model of Car- negie Mellon University (CMU). This model estimates the materi- als and energy resources required for, and the environmental emissions resulting from, activities in our economy (GDI-CMU). However the model does not provide with embodied energy in specific farm machinery for example tractors and harvesters.
