INCI: Polyacrylamide (and) C13-14 Isoparaffin (and) Laureth-7
Sepigel 305 is a unique blend of three ingredients that will provide increased viscosity, stability and shine to emulsions. Sepigel 305 can act as a stand alone emulsifier but it is recommended that it be added to an emulsion during the cool down phase. It is stable up to normal process temperatures. For an emulsion where stability at elevated temperatures is problematic Sepigel 305 can provide improved stability preventing separation and syneresis. only a low percentage of Sepigel 305 is needed. For a milk or a lotion that you would like to turn into a cream use a higher amount of Sepigel 305. Sepigel 305 is nonionic and is compatible with all types of emulsions and stable over a wide range of pH.
As supplied Sepigel 305 is a viscous, milky, synovial liquid. If you are weighing this material into your batch it is best to subtraction weigh it directly into your batch to ensure accurate addition to the batch. Depending on the desired effect to one quart of an O/W emulsion you can add from tsp (approximately 0.1%) to 2 tbsp (approximately 3%). To one gallon of an emulsion you can add from 1 tsp to 8 tbsp of Sepigel 305 for the range of 0.1-3%. When adding Sepigel 305 to your emulsion be sure to use rapid agitation to thoroughly disperse the Sepigel 305 through your emulsion for a nice and creamy, gel-like consistency. Viscosity increase is almost instantaneous.
