The infants will need bottles prepared safely, and fed as often as every 1-2 hours while they are small. They will also need changed just as often; we plan on doing some cloth diapering, so the au pair may have to do some light laundry related to the babies during the day (we don't expect her to do laundry for anyone else). The toddler will need a schedule to follow to include eating breakfast and lunch, nap time, and plenty of organized activities mixed with free play. Because they are small children, the au pair will have to dress them/change their clothing as needed. The au pair will only have to be at the door to meet the oldest child's school bus every afternoon; she will require little monitoring from the au pair when she's home. When the au pair feels comfortable with our kids, she will be encouraged to take them on outings so they all can have time outside of the house. We will take the kids to all their appointments so the au pair won't have to worry about anything like that unless it's under an extreme circumstance. We do have two very friendly dogs who will want to be let in and out of the house, but no other care for them is required. The au pair's primary duties will revolve around the safe and attentive care of the twin babies and toddler.
