Lee (2004) takes a more abductive approach to qualitatively develop the Triple-A supply chain theory, while this research takes a more deductive approach to verify the theory. We theorize and assess a Triple-A supply chain performance
model that incorporates the Triple-A supply chain construct described by Lee (2004) as antecedent to supply chain performance and supply chain performance as antecedent to organizational performance. Measurement scales for each of the study constructs were pre-tested with a small sample of 21 supply chain professionals. Subsequently, in collaboration with APICS, data were collected from 132 supply chain professionals working in the manufacturing sector. The study scales are assessed for dimensionality, reliability, and validity, and the theorized structural model is assessed using a structural
equation modeling methodology.
