One method that is gaining wide interest among scholars and researchers in engaging the community perspective on park issues is Q methodology - a systematic study that connects between qualitative and quantitative research concerning perceptions, beliefs, attitudes, opinions or viewpoints about a topic. Brown & Daniel (1987) mentioned several areas that had applied Q methodology. The main purpose of Q methodology is to assess the diversity of opinions among the community, produce new themes for a group of people and subsequently be used in improving the urban park quality.
