1.1. Cost Center Maintenance
1.1.1. Summary of Requirement
For PG, “31-01 Cost Center Maintenance” process is initiated when there is an establishment of new division, the alteration of the organization structure or request to create new cost center etc. For the alteration of new organization, the IOC is announced to the responsible person for the creation, alteration and deletion of cost center. The alteration of cost center involves changes in cost center information such as its name, department, responsible person etc. However, for the request raised by the requestor, the approver decides if cost center is to be created, altered or deleted. Furthermore, it also includes the activity to block/unblock cost center from primary or secondary posting when needed. When cost center is wrongly created in the system, it can only be deleted when there is no transactional data associated with it.
