2.9. Keeping properties and stability
The keeping properties and accelerated stabilities of coating
solutions were determined by a modified method of Jagannath,
Nanjappa, Gupta, and Bawa (2006). Precisely, 20 mL of coating
solution was placed in a test tube and aqueous phase separation at
the bottom of the tube was measured after 24 h intervals up to 5
days. The extent of separation was used for quantitatively grading
the stability of the emulsion.
