A lzheimer's Disease (AD) is a progressive, debilitating,
irreversible neurologic disease that affects
the physical, cognitive, emotional, behavioral,
and spiritual domains of more than 4 million Americans. 1
Respect for the freedom and the dignity of persons victimized
by the overwhelming nature of AD demands care
interventions that promote and maintain function. Especially
needed are interventions that may be easily implemented
by less skilled caregivers in daily contact with
those with AD
