Vision
Valaya Alongkorn Rajabhat University under the Royal Patronage will become an outstanding higher education institute focusing on local development in South-East Asia.
Mission
Valaya Alongkorn Rajabhat University under the Royal Patronage has the following missions under the Rajabhat University Act 2547 B.E, Articles 7 and 8:
Article 7: The Rajabhat University will serve as a higher education institute focusing on local development in order to promote national knowledge, to restore the nation’s wealth of knowledge, to preserve local wisdom and to create new knowledge for the benefit, security and prosperity of the Thai people. The Rajabhat University will engage in equitable and sustainable management, conservation and use of natural resources and the environment. The objectives of the Rajabhat University are to educate; promote academic and higher professional knowledge; teach; conduct research; provide academic services to Thai society; improve, distribute and develop technology; conserve art and culture; educate students for the teaching profession; and develop and upgrade the skills of teachers.
Article 8: In order to achieve Article 7, the Rajabhat University has the following duties:
1. To pursue the truth in order to achieve outstanding academic quality based on local wisdom, Thai wisdom and international wisdom.
2. To educate graduates in knowledge, ethics, the Thai spirit, love and attachment to the mother land; to provide lifelong education to the community in order that the community may be alert to changes; and to produce high quality graduates in the quantity called for by the national education plan.
3. To promote knowledge, appreciation, awareness and pride towards local and national culture.
4. To educate and strengthen local leaders, religious leaders, and local politicians to attain democracy, ethics, morality and ability in administering local community development for the benefit of the people.
5. To strengthen the knowledge of the teaching profession, educating and producing teachers and educators with quality and standards suitable for careers in this higher profession.
6. To assist and collaborate with other institutions, communities, local organizations, and national and international organizations to enhance local development.
7. To study and explore ways of developing local technology and modern technology that are suitable for the lifestyles and ways of life of local people; and to explore ways of promoting the equitable and sustainable management, conservation and use of natural resources and the environment.
8. To study and conduct research promoting and maintaining projects in accordance with the Royal philosophy about the university’s duty to develop the local community.
