One of the most important aspects of success in business today is handling the telephone. Answering the phone is not a difficult physical task but using it in a businesslike and professional manner is a different issue altogether. Millions of dollars are lost each year because of poor telephone enquiries, however, customers who are well handled over the phone will not only be satisfied by the service, but also get more business for the company. This is something that we have already spoken and understood when we went through the Customer Relationship Management training.
The telephone is one of the most used but least understood business tools. It enables you to communicate with people over long distances, saving you time and money. Consider and think about how much of your working day is dependent on the phone and also some departments such as reservations, sales and marketing and the call center completely depend on the phone.
