SEOUL, Korea (November 10, 2004) ㅡ For the third consecutive year, Korean Air has been ranked among the top airlines in Business Traveller's Cellars in the Sky Awards 2004 for its exceptional wine offerings.
Korean Air was honored in two award categories this year, for the Best Red Wine in First Class with its "Chateau Giscours 1999" as well as the Best Sparkling Wine in Business Class with its "Piper Heidsieck Brut, NV". Details of these awards will be published in Business Traveller's Asia/Pacific Magazine, December 2004 issue.
The Business Traveller's Cellars in the Sky Awards 2004 was organized in association with Wine International magazine, organisers of the International Wine Challenge. Thirty international airlines entered a selection of their wines, which were sent to a committee consisting of wine experts and sommeliers for a two-day blind tasting.
"Korean Air understands the importance of providing quality in-flight service, and our wine list is an important factor. As such, we are very pleased that our selection of wines have been recognized by international wine experts for the third consecutive year," Mr. Young Ho Kim, President of Korean Air Passenger Division said.
