As far as standardized class schemas and colors go, one of the most familiar schemas
for vegetation classification of remote sensing data is the Anderson Classification system,
developed by a whole crew of agencies including the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS),
National Aeronautics and Space Administration, Natural Resource Conservation Service,
Association of American Geographers, and the International Geographical Union.5 With
so many agencies working on this thing it is a wonder it came out as splendidly as it did.
