crochet fruits & happy alpacas nahum's cheeky bags are a sure-fire way to sweeten up your look
we've come across a brand that sells stuff so cheekily cute we wonder if people who make them are smiling all the time. Our eyes are set on Nahim's cheery bags that capture colourful fruits and smiling alpacas on its canvases. Owner Chalocha "Pim" Ninthummachart, 25, recently left her full-time marketing job to run her life style brand Nahim after it become more profitable to focus on making and selling her bags.
The peculiar brand name is actually derived from what the owner's mum calls her, "Nong Pim", which unintentionally sounds like "nahim". A petite yet smiley person. Pim comes from a dancing background, which made obsession with bags a given, as she needed something to stuff a lot of things into after dance classes. The patterns and prints she liked, however, were not no the bags she wanted, so she simply set out to make her own.
Nahim's fruit canvas bags and alpaca canvas bags (450 baht) are a colourful companion fit for weekends and holidays, with a strong, adjustable strap that can be carried in three different ways. It's cartoonishly cute and effortless for days when you have a lot of junk to lug around. Her crochet options are just as adorable, as they come in the shapes of kiwis, passion fruits, dragon fruits sushi and teapots. Every piece is exceptionally colourful and can also serve as an accessory to jazz up your outfit. Everything is lovingly hand-made in-house, so you can be sure that your bag will be a unique pick.
