counts in seven patients although they had severe
sepsis; nevertheless, these two factors were not
significantly associated with mortality in associated

neck cellulitis, abdominal distention, jaundice,
vomiting, and seizures. The wide diversity of clinical
syndromes are known phenomena in melioidosis
