A clear
effect of drop volume to obtain frozen semen pellets was
found on sperm motility of frozen/thawed chicken semen.
Larger volumes improved the recovery rate of motile sperm
and the curvilinear velocity motion parameter [24].
The aim of this study was to investigate the effects on
sperm quality of further processing conditions involved
into the pellet cryopreservation procedure: sperm working
concentration (SWC), concentration of DMA (DMAco), and
DMA equilibration time (DMAeq) before freezing were
considered.
