A hero is a courageous person who achieved something in life. Martin Luther King, Jr. was a peacemaker. He was the leader of the civil rights union. He made a speech that stopped segregation. This speech was called “I have a dream.
Martin Luther King, Jr. stopped segregation. One of the things he did was join a bus boycott in 1955. After Rosa Parks was arrested on December 1st, he became the official spokesman of the group. On November 13, 1956, the Supreme Court ruled that the bus segregation rules were illegal.
Martin Luther King, Jr. came from humble beginnings. Martin Luther King, JR was born at twelve o' clock January 15, 1929. He grew up in Atlanta, Georgia. In 1949 he graduated from Booker T. Washington High School and was entered to Morehouse College when he was 15. In 1948 he graduated from Morehouse College and entered Crozer Theological Seminary and was ordained to the Baptist ministry in February 25, 1948 when he was 19.
