in G-6-PD-deficient neonate blood samples (r = 0.125, p-value = 0.201) (Fig. 1A). However, a significant correlation is observed between G-6-PD activity and percent reticulocytosis in neonate blood samples with normal G-6-PD activity (r = 0.377, p-value = 0.014) with 9 samples having ≥8.0% reticulocytosis and G-6-PD activity N20.5 U/g Hb. (Fig. 1B). It should be noted that there were 8 heterozygous females among this G-6-PD-normal group (Table 2).
