Solid gain is referred as a net solid content uptake by potatoes (Antonio et al. 2008). Campus et al. (2012) found that an increased concentration of osmotic solution could increase the solid gain in the star fruit slices due to greater dehydration force that induced by the greater concentration gradient between the plant produce and osmotic solution. In the present study showed that an increase of water loss in the potatoes were found increase of solid gain. Additionally, sucrose and CaCl2 combination could accelerate the solid gain in the potatoes upon increment of ternary solution concentration.
