Abstract—Usability testing is very important to determine how
successful the delivered product is and how the products meet
the user’s need. The testing will help the researchers to
improve the design of the product itself. This study evaluates
the usability and acceptance of mobile application named as
JFakih Learning Game. jFakih is a learning game on the
mobile phone specifically designed for hearing impaired (HI)
children to learn Jawi based on the Fakih method hand sign.
Ten HI children at the age between 9-15 years old from
Akademik Fakih Kuala Lumpur have been selected to
participate in this test. This study employed usability study
approach which involved questionnaires, observation and
interview based on nine acceptance test elements. We present
the result based on the description of usability result, usability
problem and improvement needed. The findings indicated that
the JFakih application is attractive and usable for HI children.
However, little improvement still required to increase the
enjoyment while playing the game.
