In 2011 Lease andWolf observed in females of terrestrial arthropods
(several representatives of Class Arachnida and Class Insecta) the lipid
content (dry weight) was higher than that found in males. However,
significant differences were not observed for the specific case of
scorpions, because their study seems to be incomplete with relation to
males n = 1. Further comparative studies with other species are
necessary in order to clarify this issue.
