I would like to inform you that the children are enjoying learning lab and are engaging well with the activities we are doing. The children were selected to attend Learning Lab so we can improve their English language. There are already improvements and these are shown within the classroom.
As these children have less English language I have created an Individual Education Plan (IEP) which is a document that identifies areas that need improvement and how we can achieve them. The children are given between 2-5 achievable targets to help them developed the identified areas of need. Learning Lab is a prime time for the children to practise their English with a smaller group and more attention given to them.
Now it has been a couple of weeks with the IEP's in place, I would like to arrange a meeting with you to discuss these and how we can work together at school and at home so that the children can work towards these targets.
An IEP should not be of any concern, and is a positive method of identifying areas of need and what we can do as educators to help the children improve.
Please be in contact with me regarding a time and a date in which we can meet to discuss this. Please note, that meetings would preferable be held after school so that it does not interfere with lesson times.
Kindest Regards
