Descriptions:
The General Ledger Accountant is responsible for general book keeping function.
Main Accountabilities:
• Ensure timely and accurate receipt, recording and posting of transactions in compliance with Group policies and procedures.
• Assist Chief Accountant in month and year end closing in SAP.
• Ensure costs are allocated to the appropriate accounts and cost centers.
• Ensure bank reconciliations are prepared timely and accurately.
• Prepare reconciliations of some assets and liabilities accounts
• Ensure accurate and timely issuance of SVR Financial Invoices.
• Collect and filing of Journal Vouchers and relevant accounting documents.
• Prepare VAT and Withholding Tax report for submission to revenue department
• Prepare reconciliation of Withholding Tax and Purchase VAT with GL
• Ensure proper collection of purchase tax invoices and withholding tax certificates
• Effectively communicate with other departments and external parties i.e. auditor, consultants
• Participate in group and cross-departmental projects.
• Adhere to environmental, quality, health and safety policies and procedures.
