Increased [ABA]leaf is proposed to regulate
plant responses to a range of abiotic stresses including salinity
and drought (Keskin et al., 2010). It acts as a long distance signal
molecule communicates the physiological responses between the
roots and shoots (Wilkinson and Davies, 2002). It has been reported
that the strength of the ABA signal is negatively correlated with
stomatal conductance and thus conserving water under drought
and saline conditions (Keskin et al., 2010).
