Fig. 1 shows the absorbance spectra of the SSA-PAni partially
undoped SSA-PAni and completely undoped SSA-PAni. The peak at
228 nm can be ascribed to the presence of SSA in the matrix. As
expected, this peak was almost completely disappeared in the
undoped sample. The spectra of undoped PAni shows featured of
PAni base, indicating that this sample was deprotonated. All the
samples have a broad absorption peak between 300 nm and
450 nm, attributed to the p–p* transition. The UV-Vis spectroscopic
analysis of SSA-PAni is also characterized with a PAni salt
like behaviour, thus indicating the enhanced protonation in this sample
