The organisation-specific situation of a company should be analysed when assessing training
requirements, taking both its technology level and its training characteristics into account. The
technological indicator IT has been used in this study as an innovation index. In the same way a
company training indicator (EI) or training index has been defined, in which a group of variables
including training aspects of employers hotels has been taken into consideration. This index has
been obtained by considering the influence of a group of variables which define the training
approach of hotel companies in relation to the basic training of workers, types of contracts,
training sensitivity on the part of the companies and their training strategies.
