This article reflected the suicide of people who had lost all hope. I could not agree more with the sentence “Nobody wants to die” because these people were waiting for someone to tell them that they do not have to die before they decided to suicide. It was because of chronic depression, which could lead to feelings of despair and hopelessness, and a suicide attempts was one way some people chosen to express those feelings. Most of them who attempt or commit suicide did not really want to die; they just wanted their pain and suffering to end. A suicidal person might not ask for help, but that did not mean that help was not wanted. Therefore, if you thought a friend or family member was considering suicide, you might be afraid to bring up the subject. But talking openly about suicidal thoughts and feeling could save a life. You had to realize they did not want to die but they wanted to stop hurting. That was why encouraging was the best thing for them, you should always stay beside them those who were in need. They wish there was an alternative to committing because suicide, but they just could not see one. So, you had to suggest them as much as you could.
One of the worst things for a person contemplating suicide was feeling that on one understood or cared about him or her. Those people were often extremely frustrated over talking with friend and family only to find that they were placated with statements like, “on, you will feel better soon/this too shall pass”. Suicidal people felt like they had been trying to tell others how much pain they were in, but nobody heard them. Therefore, I thought it would be better if someone could stay beside and encourage them, it would make them repeat themselves did they really want to do that? With those reasons I talked above, it showed that why I cloud not agree more with the author that he said “These people were waiting for someone to tell them that they do not have to die before they decided to suicide”. They just needed someone to understand, I thought.
