Ex-Chipolopolo star Noah Chivuta says he will do all he can to ensure that striker Jackson Mwanza settles down in Thailand.
The Zambia midfielder and 2012 Africa Cup winner has been playing in Thailand of the last three years at Nakhon Ratchasima since leaving South African Premier soccer League side Free State Stars.
He will be joined this month by the Zesco United striker who has signed a two-year deal with Ubon UMT United from the 2015 FAZ Super League champions.
“That will be nice if he comes maybe that is when people will believe it’s a very good league and hard to break in,” Chivuta said.
“I Hope he will make it here because it’s not easy for a foreigner to make a mark. All the best to him and I am open if he wants advise.”
Ubon are currently involved in Thai premiership promotion playoff.
Mwanza was the 2014 FAZ Super League top scorer when his 15 goal’s helped propel Zesco to the title that season and fourth top-flight crown.
The 28-year-old ex-Zambia schools striker scored 8 goals this season for Zesco, ten behind his club mate and attacking partner Winston Kalengo who in 2015 succeeded him as Golden Boot winner.
Mwanza has over ten Zambia caps and was a member of the team at the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations tournament in Equatorial Guinea where he played one match before Chipolopolo made a preliminary round exit.
