First, a description of the performances of the participants in different text types is presented inTable 3. To find out whether the mean differences across texts and learner levels are significant, an overall Repeated Measures Analysis of Variance was conducted (see tables 4 and 5). The ANOVA results show significant differences in performance due to the type of the text (p< .05, F=3.89) as well as the level of language proficiency (p< .05, F=29.14). However, the interactionbetween text type and level of language proficiency is not statistically significant, i.e. almost all groups follow similar pattern of performance on different text types. Consequently, to discoverthe loci of the significant differences across groups and texts.
