The Association of Southeast Asian Nations expects its strategic partnership with South Korea to move to new level after a commemorative summit with Seoul this week. Leaders from South KOrea and Asean are scheduled to meet tomorrow and Wednesday in Busan to mark the 25th anniversary of the establishment of relations,the first such meeting since 2009. Asean and Seoul first established a dialogue partnership in 1989 and upgraded the relationship to a "strategic partnership" in 2010,emphasising economic and political cooperation as well as cultural and people-to-people exchanges.
