By metabolic flux analysis changes in the fluxeswere observed at different levels of inhibition of glycolytic path-way. The analysis of experimental data and flux distribution valuesin bioreaction network showed that the fluxes at principal node ofglucose 6-phosphate changed significantly under glycolytic path-way inhibition by diverting the carbon flux towards HA pathwayand Pentose phosphate pathway, thus indicating that the node isnot rigid and through genetic engineering higher yield of HA canbe obtained.
