This article presented the investigation the occurrence of urban heat island in the study area, Phuket province. Moreover, article study the relationship between Land surface temperature and Land Use that use data from satellite imagery: Landsat 5 TM on 27 February 2009 and Landsat 8 OLI on 25 February 2013. Data were analyzed by scatter plot and urban heat island intensity. It was found that changes land use inversely proportional to correlated with the surface temperature of the city. City area increase 3.53%, forest area decrease ….%, and agricultural area decrease 3% . Coefficient of Determination (R2) between urban area and the average surface temperature in 2013 is 0.76. Coefficient of Determination (R2) between green area and the average surface temperature is 0.54. The surface temperature increased intensity of the urban heat island phenomenon has increased from 2.39 in 2552 to 2.47 in 2556. The surface temperature higher that make intensity of the urban heat island phenomenon has increased from 2.39 in 2009 to 2.47 in 2013. Significantly, the increase of urban area that make temperature is higher than the low urban area.
