Always Log Measurements
Logs the selected measurements each time the step executes.
Log Measurements Only When Inspection Fails
Logs the selected measurements if the current state fails when the step executes.
Destination Tab
Log Location
Specifies the location to which logged measurements are saved.
Log to Local Drive—Measurement results are saved to a local storage device.
Log to FTP Server—Measurement results are saved to an FTP server.
Send Data to TCP Device—Measurement results are transferred to a TCP device.
Log to Local Drive
Local Path
Specifies the file path to the destination directory for saved measurement results.
File Name
Specifies the name for the log file. If Multiple Files is selected, a timestamp is added to the specified file name.
Log as a Background Task
Allows the inspection to continue while data is logged to the specified location.
File Type
Specifies the format of the log file.
Substitute on Fail
Specifies a string value to log when a measurement is not available. Use codes to format the string or enter non-printable characters.
Single File
Creates one data log file for all measurement results.
Multiple Files
Creates data log files at the interval specified in the Start a New File Every controls.
Start a New File Every
Specifies the interval at which to create a new log file.
Overwrite any file(s) created prior to this inspection before logging data
Overwrites existing log files with the same name. If this control is disabled, the latest measurement results are appended to the existing log file.
Log to FTP Server
IP Address
Specifies the IP address or network address (server name) of the destination FTP server for saved measurement results.
User Name
Specifies the user name to use to log onto the FTP server.
Password
Specifies the password to use to log onto the FTP server.
Test Login
Verifies that the step can log onto the FTP server using the specified IP Address, User Name, and Password.
Folder Path
Specifies the file path to the destination directory for saved measurement results.
