Job Summary & Purpose:
Support the manager in implementing Food products strategy & concept for Tops Daily and responsible for driving the brand and quality image of food products for Tops Daily across all departments.
Analyze category and department sales trends to re-align micro space and range to improve sales per bay, GP per bay whilst delivering space and range to target customers for each format and in stock position.
Apply CRM data in all decision making when re-aligning store offer.
To achieve the objectives in sales volume, profit, penetration rate and rebate of the products as well as arrange the assortments in line with the policy and targets of each category.
Assortment & Merchandise:
Accountability for leading and managing a team of merchandising support specialists for all food categories for Tops Daily format
Work cross functionally with B&M to deliver space and range strategy by category and format, whilst improving sales and GP.
Work with Product Development to achieve product strategy for Tops Daily
Continually develop the category portfolio through space, range and brand by format
Develop processes with macro space team to deliver ideal planograms by store and format to deliver sales, GP and EBIT budgets.
Evaluate performance of each category planogram to ensure they achieve targets on sales, sales per metre, GP permetre, instock position, business rules and company EBIT.
Responsible for setting annual calendar of promotion, marketing activities for Tops Daily across all food departments.
Evaluate performance of implementation by stores and feedback results on good and bad outcomes and required action.
Ensure all planograms are 100% accurate for store implementation.
Manage and evaluate planogram database and category planogram size and performance to ensure we are operating at optimum efficiency levels.
Support new store and renovation program to deliver updated range and planograms.
Complete competitor audits and identify and include all best practice in company development of range.
Ensure proper compliance of contract signing and supported document of product specification and label of all suppliers with bi-annual review.
Deliver and respond to related assignment as directed by supervisor
Qualifications :-
Bachelor degree in retail and category development field
3-5 years working experience with knowledge of category management and marketing
Analytical skills required
Computer literacy
Strong drive for achievement
Strong negotiation and communication skills
Able to control and motivate staff
Able to communicate in English is a must
Flexible and can work under pressure
