METHOD
Participants
Participants were 216 female trainees in school counseling, in Israel, studying in four academic institutions, with an age range of 23-41 years (M = 29.08, SD = 4.86). They were all second-year graduate students, with a background in psychology, education, or social work. Most were Jewish, while 20 percent were Arabs, representing the general population breakdown in the country. The trainees participated in 14 groups, with a range of 6-17 members per group. The groups were led by 6 group therapists, ages ranging from 49 to 66, with over 10 years of professional experience.
